Many people around the world heard or read about the creation in the different source. Because of this they believe in different beliefs.  Creation is a complicated story. There are lots of different ideas about genesis. Even holy books the creation stories not completely same. In this essay we will discuss about different point of the creation story from Quran, Bible and Mythology but actually based on Quran.

     In Mythology, there was Chaos at the beginning. Then Gaia (clay) occur from the Chaos. Gaia birth Pontos and Uranos via Parthenogenesis. Later Kyklops which have 3 eye, Hekatonheir which have a hundred arm and Titanes occured from Gaia and Uranos’s relationship.When Uranos saw his children power he afraid them, so he send them Tartaros where is the darkest place in the underground. Gaia wanted to help to other children for saving Kyklops. Only Kronos helped and destroy his father with his iron sickle. Then Kronos married with his sister and they have 6 children. Kronos saw his children as a threat, so he swallowed them. Only Zeus escaped and later he take his revenge and destroy Kronos. At the end Zeus was the head of the other 11 gods. They live forever in Olympos.

     The Bible says that God himself is the Source of the “vast dynamic energy” that produced the universe. God create the universe in 6 certain phase. First day Light (Day and Night), second day Heaven (Sky) and Earth, Third day grass, herbs and plants, Fourth day Sun, Moon and Stars, Fifth day all animals and the last day men (human being) created by God. In Bible, God spent his energy for six days and seventh day he rest.He blessed seventh day. God created Adam from mud. Then created Eve from Adam’s rib cage. In Bible image of God and image of men there is no differences. They are the same person.

      In Quran, People can’t see their creator but Allah always with them. Namely, unlike Bible image of God and image of men are different. As it is in the Bible Allah created the universe 6 days but differ from the Bible Allah tirelessly created the universe because Allah don’t need to rest. Allah’s power is enough for everything. Allah created the Adam and Eve for worship to himself. This purpose of creation just peculiar to Quran.

     All in all, we discussed creation story’s three different point of view. Creation isn’t suddenly occur. It occur sequentially.As we see in the every story people have to need God who has a exalted power and protect them. Also we saw in Mythology a lot of Gods but in Bible and Quran there is only one God because if there is a two or more God then everyting would be chaos.

In literary world, writers want to enhance their writing, so they use symbolism.Symbolism can give a literary work more richness and color and can make the meaning of the work deeper. Lots of novel contains symbolic expression and sometimes this symbols exceeds its limits. In this essay we will discuss about Fahrenheit 451’s symbols.

In Fahrenheit 451 reader see five important symbols. The first symbol is fire. Fire usually represents demolition and restart.In novel, firefighters use fire for destroying the books and anythings that give information to people. At the end of the novel, readers can see that Guy Montag who is one of the firefighter and head character is the novel saw group of people. That people warming around the fire. Then Montag understand that fire also serving good works besides burning books.

Another important symbols are the sieve and the sand. Montag has some memory about sieve and sand. He remembers he put the sand to sieve but the sands quickly fall through the sieve, so he cried about this when he was a child. Sand represents the truth which Montag’s search and sieve represents Montag’s effort to learn something in a short time. Namely, although it was a forbidden, Montag read Bible as quickly as possible and he tried to remember.

Nakedness and mechanical devices are the other important symbols. Nakedness represents reborn. Namely, by entering the river and wearing a another person’s clothes, Montag to say goodbye to his old personality. And mechanical devices represent destroying of nature via acting on the orders of the Authority. We can see that on the mechanical Hound. It is a fatal dog which made of robot. This dog can kill people, animal and anything just a one command from the owner.

As we can see from the passage that this symbols has hidden meanings apart from what we read. Some shallow minded people can’t understand their hidden meanings but deeply thoughtful people understand what actually writer says.

Two Great Heroes: Harry Potter and Percy Jackson

     Harry Potter and Percy Jackson are very successful novel series of children literature. This novel series are sold millions. Their authors two successful name of literature: J.K Rowling and Rick Riorden. Main characters of the stories are child heroes who accomplish great things. In this essay we will discuss about behaviors of this two great characters’ similarities who make them heroes.

      Firstly, Harry and Percy live without knowing their true identity. When they learn their true identity Harry was 11 years old and Percy was 12 years old. This covering identity necessary because they can be a danger if they would known by others who in the world where they originally belongs. Both of them not grown up with a perfect family. Harry’s parents died when he is a newborn child, so Harry live with his loveless aunt and her family but he have to stay with them because nobody can hurt him when he is there. Also Percy live with his mother and his alcoholic step-father but he also have to stand his alcoholic father because father’s smells covered up his origin. Namely, they don’t satisfied their childhood.

    Secondly, Harry and Percy make strong friendships. This friends always helped and back up for them. And Harry and Percy have to ability for lead their friends. Harry’s friends Ron and Hermione always stand next to Harry and they supported him when he is in a difficult situation. For example, Harry successed get the philosopher stone, found the Chamber of Secrets, saved the Sirius Black from Azkaban, overcomed the Triwizard Tournament, destroyed the horcrux etc. via Ron and Hermione’s help. Without his friends help Harry most probably die at the beginning his Hogwarts first year. Percy’s friends Grover and Annabeth also stand next to Percy and encourage him for the hard situations. For instance, when the Percy’s mom kidnapped, his friends help him for finding his mother. Even it was forbidden, they left the Half Blood Camp and went to look for Percy’s mother. Sometimes they can falling to despairation but their friends always back up and encourage them. Their friends enlighten Harry and Percy’s way. Their encourages shows us, ‘’Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.’’ (Dumbledore)

     Finally, both of Harry and Percy give a great war against to their cruel enemies for saving their worlds and prove it their abilities. It shows us their great bravery. Inspite of the differences of their world, they have face to same situation. Their worlds were in danger because of the legendary cruels. In this battle our two heroes not alone and not unilluminated because Dumbledore who is the greatest wizard of the world of witchcraft and Cheiron who is the best instructor of Half Blood Camp always with them. Harry Potter have to face to Lord Voldemort who is the darkest wizard ever in witchcraft history. Even nearly all wizards afraid of pronounciation of Voldemort’s name Harry fight against him. Also Percy fight against to Cronus who is the king of the Titanes and Gods’ nightmare for saving his world and making peace.

Actually they don’t just fight against their enemies in this battles. They also have to fight their friends. Because some of their friends had chosen the darkside. And it requires more courage because as this illustrade, ‘’It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.” (Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone)

      All in all, Harry Potter and Percy Jackson although they do not have superpowers, they are considered as heroes. Maybe they cannot throw laser on their eyes or they cannot fly, they are hero. Because of taking the lead in difficult situations and directing their friends, and they never give up even they were despirate. They know they can’t overcome to everything but most of thing via trying. Like Dumbledore said, “It is important to fight and fight again, and keep fighting, for only then can evil be kept at bay though never quite eradicated.”
